Blair Allison, a contemporary artist born in Invercargill, New Zealand in 1989.

Currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

His self taught style is often described as innate, raw, expressive and provoking. 

Untainted by art school, his work is predominantly acrylic paint driven. Ignoring rules and boundaries, he presents his viewer with bold audacious questions and creations. 

His artist mission is to establish an institution capable of supporting uneducated creatives and their ideas.

"I have never focused on trying to market or sell my work, simply just produce work. Painting what feels right at any given time or place. I don't stick to the perimeters, i started off expressively painting abstract pieces and just experimented. Trial and error, picking up knowledge on paint, colour, texture and  application. Then came composition, perspective and subject. I feel like i am at a point where i can bring any subject to my canvas. The next step is a dedicated studio, with the space and facilities to accommodate my works without any bedroom/living house restrictions".
